Ian Pearl

Partner

Ian is our go-to for commercial and property disputes, especially when high-value individuals or estates are involved.

Before qualifying as a solicitor in 2003, Ian trained as an underwriter at Lloyd's of London and worked with leading regional and West End firms. He joined us in 2008, bringing a first-class law degree and a wealth of experience.

Ian gets to the heart of complex issues fast, building strategies that move clients towards the results they want. He keeps advice practical and commercial, always weighing up the costs and the bigger picture. Clients value his clear, straightforward approach.

From shareholder fallouts to partnership splits, Ian guides clients through what can feel like a corporate divorce. He helps property investors protect their assets and supports international retailers with tricky lease renewals.

Ian is also the person you want on your side in probate disputes, especially when wills are challenged over capacity or influence. He regularly acts in claims where families question whether a will has provided fairly.

In insolvency and bankruptcy, Ian acts for both practitioners and directors, tackling claims around transactions, misfeasance and dividends. He’s especially experienced with insolvent estates linked to failed tax schemes.

Disputes are rarely simple, but Ian’s broad experience across property, trusts and estates means clients and colleagues turn to him when things get complicated.
