Stephen studied Law at the University of Durham and qualified as a solicitor in 2009. Before joining Clarke Mairs, he was head of conveyancing at a Newcastle firm for several years. Stephen joined the Orwins team when Clarke Mairs became part of the firm in November 2026.

He has experience across a wide range of residential and commercial property transactions throughout England and Wales. Locally, he has been recognised as one of the three top-rated conveyancing solicitors in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Stephen regularly acts for buyers and sellers, and has particular experience in new build, shared ownership and leasehold properties.
