Tim qualified as a solicitor in 1987 and practised in London before moving to Newcastle upon Tyne in 1990. He was a partner at an established practice for 15 years before leaving with others to establish Clarke Mairs in October 2007. Tim joined the Orwins team when Clarke Mairs became part of the firm in November 2026.

He has maintained client relationships dating back to his time as an Articled Clerk in Hatton Garden, reflected in the firm’s significant London client base.

Tim began his career in litigation and developed particular expertise in insolvency litigation. He now advises on commercial property acquisitions and disposals; pharmacy share and asset sales and purchases; share acquisitions and buybacks; company and partnership formations; and general commercial matters.
