For over 40 years, Jeremy has been at the heart of real estate law. He’s worked alongside landlords, tenants, buyers and sellers, guiding them through every aspect of non-contentious property matters.
Jeremy began his career at Victor Mishcon & Co (now Mishcon de Reya), where he trained and became a partner before setting up his own practice. In 1989, he co-founded Manuel Swaden in West Hampstead, and in April 2024, he brought his experience to BBS Law (now Orwins).
Jeremy believes in personal service, whether he’s working with businesses or individuals. That's how he's built lasting relationships and a loyal client base. Recently, he's handled the property side of a major corporate acquisition, secured a lease for a large industrial site in northern England, and managed the sale and purchase of high-value homes across London and the south.
Jeremy is a recognised patient advocate in the field of rare and ultra-rare conditions. He co-founded the UK Gauchers Association in 1991 and served as its Chairman until 2012. He was the founding Chairman of the European Gaucher Alliance (now the International Gaucher Alliance) and became its Honorary President in 2018. Jeremy served for ten years as a lay representative on the Highly Specialised Technologies Evaluation Committee of the National Institute of Health and Care Excellence (NICE).
He was awarded an OBE in the Millennium Honours List for services to Gaucher Disease and is a Freeman of the City of London.
