Over £5,000 raised for Rainbow Trust, and a new charity for the year ahead
Over the past twelve months, the Orwins team has raised more than £5,000 for Rainbow Trust Children's Charity, which provides emotional and practical support to families with a seriously ill child.
It's a total we're genuinely proud of, not least because of how it was raised: through a calendar of colleague events where we could connect across offices, have some fun and support a good cause all at the same time.
Kerry Blackhurst, head of the CSR committee was delighted with the result.
"What I love about this total is that no single event got us there. It was people baking at midnight, buying one more strip of raffle tickets, and turning up in December in jumpers they'd never admit to owning. Rainbow Trust does extraordinary work for families going through the hardest thing imaginable, and I'm so proud of what everyone across the firm has contributed. Now we get to do it all again for Blood Cancer UK, and I already know this team won't do things by halves."

The Great BBS Bake Off -as it was then known; the baking has survived the rebrand.
The Christmas quiz and jumper day
Traitors - our office take on the nation's favourite exercise in workplace paranoia.
Guess the Easter Ducks - which proved that people would pay good money to count ducks, especially in a good cause
Our ongoing recycling initiative.
A huger thank you to everyone across our Finchley and Manchester offices who baked, guessed, quizzed, betrayed their colleagues in the name of charity, and dug into their pockets throughout the year.

Our charity for the year ahead: Blood Cancer UK
For the next twelve months, we'll be fundraising for Blood Cancer UK, the charity funding research into leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and other blood cancers, and supporting the people affected by them. Blood cancer is the fifth most common cancer in the UK, and it touches far more lives, including within our own firm and client community, than most people realise.
